Howdy.

Greeting:
As of November 3, 2003, I am working for a Non-Profit Trade Organizations as a Office and Technical Administrator. I had worked for a Biotechnology/Pharmaceuticals company, working as their Human Resources Information Specialist until earlier in the year when the employment contract clause was exercised "terminate for any reason." Glad to say the gentleman responsible for that action was also released using the same clasue one month later. As a further note, the company no longer exists in this state and has moved its headquarters to New jersey. Nuf Said.

I am a former Business System Analyst. I worked the Day shift, 10 to 12-hour days, and was on call 7x24, everyday, all day, for 11 years of the 13 years I worked as an analyst. I and the team I was on for the majority of that time were all very good at system automation and integration. Of the original eight person team, two still work for that company - as outsourced employess. Go figure.

I am competent with PERL, JavaScript and other webbie technology linked language, including JAVA, which I have had only rudimentary requirements to use - one position I held for a long time was as application support supporting several company E-Business solutions.

I have a decade or more of experience in the Enterprise level Computer Automation and Hardware support, System Management support, and System Administration support utilizing many system platforms, and I will not bore you with the TOO long list here.

I possess Project Management experience, in both the support and management perspective, performing exercises daily ranging from the mundane tasks of regular reporting schedules to sporqadic, time sensitve "must have it done yesterday" surprise and panicked filled business changing tasks I became used to doing, which was itself is sad for many reasons.

Interests:

My interests and hobbies include:

  • Walking in the sunshine or light rain through wooded parks or even shaded parking lots if they are large enough (for health and peace of mind);

  • Hanging out at a local bagel shop and catching up on gossip (rumors and facts).

  • My Personal Computer (Hey! It was a job and its now a Hobby!)

  • Keeping up to date with web stuff in general. The web has so many specialties today: The title, "Web Designer", used to encompass it all but not anymore. With the advent of XML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS and other not so nice technologies, disseminating information is its own technology niche now.

So, in general, my life keeps me busy, so I don't complain about much often as I probably deserve whatever the universe throws at me.
Even if it was in my nature to complain, I would not do so.

Brief-History:

A Brief-History:
I was born the oldest son of a family that had two girls before and another boy after me. The second girl died long before I was born and I have been told I resemble her a great deal. She had auburn toi blonde hair which tended to wavey curls just like me. She died in my mother's arms on the way to the hospital when she was three years old.

Born in a small town Hospital mtself,(Henderson, NC, USA), my family moved to the big city (Raleigh, NC, USA) shortly after my birth and we took residence in the County of Wake before I was the age of one year. (Been here ever since!)

My brother was born almost 14 months after me, and my remaining sister is twelve years older. They each have healthy families consisting of four kids each, with my sister's girls all have children of their own as well.

Present:

At Present time:
I was born November 03, 1965. I have been Diabetic (Juvenile Onset) since age 12. I manage my diabetes through (Humalin®) insulin injections and oral prescriptions. I guess it is a mindset thing.

I am currently under treatment with varied drugs to reduce, and hopefully stop the protein spillage from my damaged kidneys with some similar affect on glucose spillage from a damaged liver. I have been a diabetic a long time without strict control and some damage is expected.

Personal:

Some personal Information:
I am 5', 10" {five feet, ten inch}(1.778 meters), and weigh in at 182 lbs. (82.554 kg, hey I found a great conversion tool on the web at: http://www.worldwidemetric.com/metcal.htm)

I have soft blue eyes: deep blue when happy or sharp blue-white if I am angered.  My hair is a soft-brown/dirty-blonde color and wavy. My hair was once long enough to reach down to the middle of my back and I often wore it in a ponytail to keep it out of my face at work.

I let it grow until it stopped me from landing a good job in bad economic times. Some things are worth sacrificing if it means you can eat and sleep in moderate safety and comfort ;)

I am a male, and my race is sometimes called 'Caucasian', but why not simply 'Human' - I do not know.

I appear fit and healthy, which is a wonder since I have had diabetes for most of my life (since November 1978). I can not attribute my good health to any efforts on my part, but I can attribute it to pure-dumb-luck. {8-P
